Most likely the klonk will be the thicker-part of the tray touching the case of the player . please check position of all mechanical components , verify the position of the top-bracket ( as dillen said ) to both sides of the frame , i had one loose on my cd7000 which caused the top-spinner to scrape the cd-tray ( plastic little tip protrudes a hole
