  • Re: B&O in movies

Spotted a beocenter 2500 +speakers in the movie 'gossip'. And a beosound 9000 in 'thank you for smoking' Both nice movies, first one's bit of a teen flick. Really funny how much B&O you spot in movies if you pay a little attention... Oh yeah, let's not forget Maude's B&O equipment in 'the Big Lebowski' (best

  • Re: Recapping Beovox 1200: how to open them up?

Hi Martin! I know, I can't get the woofers out, that's the problem... they're quite stuck... My beovoxes are the two way version. I'll send you a PM about the capacitor kits! Thanks, Chieljan

  • Recapping Beovox 1200: how to open them up?

Hi all! I used to be extremely satisfied with my Beomaster 1200 + Beovox 1200 combo. Sound was great! Until I bought a new TV, a beautiful beovision 8902. I have a switch to switch the sound directly from the computer into either the Beomaster or the Beovision. Sound through the beovision is, well, more modern or clean or something, while the Beomaster

  • Re: Beomaster 1600/1700 wall mountable?

Hey guys. Thanks for the replies! Friend of mine maybe wants to buy a 1600, he'd like to wall mount it and use it as an amp for his beocenter 2500... I'll let you know how it works out, we're definitely going to try! (after looking into that adhesive, of course ) Chieljan

  • Beomaster 1600/1700 wall mountable?

Hey all, quick question, is a beomaster 1600/1700 (you know, the one with the rubber tracks for tuning and volume) wall mountable? Can't seem to find it anywhere... Thanks! Chieljan

  • Value of/experiences with a Beovision 8902 TV?

Hey all! I'd like a nice B&O TV to match with my stereo (can't stop once you start buying B&O ). I found a 8902 in my hometown, and I wondered, what are these worth nowadays? I really like its vintage look, but it's about as old as I am myself...would it still be a good buy or should I spend more money and look for an MX? Hope someone

  • Re: Beomaster 1200 right channel bad...

Hey Martin, Made a mistake typing, it was a BC117 indeed. The guy in the electronics shop sold me a BC 549, it works just fine. Probably just like the 546 you mention. Strange things, these old beomasters... when you have one working it makes you want to go out and buy more and more and more of them...

  • Re: Hi introduction and newbie question on beovox 1200

Hey Andy, I just came up qith a question: I wonder if my beovox speakers are three way or two way... the sticker with the serial number is partly torn off so I can't read it anymore... What do your speakers look like? like these? http://www.beocentral.com/products/bvox1200-2 (those are my speakers) Or like the ones on the first picture, with the

  • Re: Beomaster 1200 right channel bad...

Victory! I changed the transistor (which was a BC114, not 174, by the way) for a new one, and my sound is back! I'm so happy I finally found the problem ^_^ I'm going to sit and listen to my beomaster for the rest of the day. Thanks again for your replies! Chieljan
