• Re: Connecting a sub (BL2) to BM5
In other words, how does the BL3's knows that there is a BL2 connected that takes care of all lower frequencies?
Without looping through the BLB2 they won't know.
I guess you normally would connect the BL3 to the PL Out of the BL2, but I can not (easy) do this due to very

 • Re: BS5 Encore Tech Question - MOTS on NAS Content
... If it does, is there feedback from owners on whether MOTS works significantly better on BS5 ripped librarues vs. pre-existing ones?
MOTS = MOTS If a BSD/BM5 combo is acting as a Server for a BSD5 Encore, the MOTS calculations have to be made twice. They are calculated and stored on each unit separately

 • Re: Line out Volume control of MCL2P
... the ml cable doesn't work on its own. The amp wont do anything with just the ml cable ...
To find out if your ML/MCL is faulty, try the ML/MCL with a different ML cable directly between your existing audio system and the ML/MCL. As a next step connect the ML/MCL directly to a different audio system.

 • Re: Line out Volume control of MCL2P
... changed the amp to the MC/MCL amp and linked it to my overture with a ML and powerlink cable.
Only ONE CONNECTION is allowed AT THE SAME TIME ! EITHER PowerLink OR MasterLink ! If you connect a PowerLink cable the ML/MCL will work as a power amp, beeing controlled by your audio or video system (the preamp

 • Re: Line out Volume control of MCL2P
Thank you i have tried bith options but the ir sensor does not change the volume of the ml/mcl output speakers. The sensor does switch the amp off though.
Did you connect all 5 cables properly to the terminal strip? (Ie if you insert a wire too much - not the wire, just the insulation of the wire will be fastened

 • Re: Line out Volume control of MCL2P
I have tried to change to option 2 on link setting but my remote doesnt get that option by just holding the list button.
The right option setting for a ML/MCL converter + IR eye in link room is: "L.Opt 5" or "L.Opt 6" "LIST" >> "OPTION ?" >> "L.OPT"

 • Re: BL5 & BL9: Frequencies
Could someone tell me please how the BL5 & BL9 speakers work?
*g* Like every electrodynamic loudspeaker they transform electricity into air movements ... *g*
I mean, what are the different frequencies of each way (lower bass, upper bass, mid and treble)?
Crossover

 • Re: B&O 9000 with non-B&O speakers
I've read a bit about changing options (0 to 1) etc...maybe this is what I need to do?
Settig the "A.OPT" to "1" will do the trick. If no speakers are connected, a BeoSound 9000 "believes" it is part of an audio-video setup and sets itself to "A.OPT 0" (the IR commands

 • Re: Beolab 12
?! So this beolab marks the end of the DIN powerlink? The end of an era....
YES and NO - all FUTURE audio and video products as well as speakers will have RJ 45 sockets instead of DIN 8 for ANALOGUE PowerLink.
