Gents, Having problems getting the DVD 1 player to power up. After plugging into various wall sockets the unit shows no "signs of life". I've changed the power cable and fuse but sadly the unit appears "dead" Are there any fuses etc inside the unit? Steve

Peter, Sorry about the late reply............... I don't have any other speakers to try so perhaps I'll try a new set of cables. Seems odd though that the amp will play with speakerlink and not powerlink cables. Do you think the amp is at fault? Is there any special set up at the amp end? Steve

Sorry, I don't know the cable type - bought from Ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300298592271&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fsearch.ebay.co.uk%3A80%2Fsearch%2Fsearch.dll%3Ffrom%3DR40%26_trksid%3Dm37%26satitle%3D300298592271%2B%2B%26category0%3D%26fvi%3D1 (Sorry about the "huge" link - hope it works) Maybe got the wrong

In standby the lights are red......... When i turn the amp on and press CD play, the CD plays but the Penta's don't swith on. When I go back to the 4pin spk cables and repeat the process the Penta's "go green" and power up with sound. Does it matter which or the 2 available powerlink sockets (on the Penta's) I use? Steve

Peter, I purchased 2 new belts from Martin. My very limited tech skills appear not to have worked. I fitted the belts yesterday - the wider of the belts to the large grey spindle and the thinner to the white cog. Wrong way round or just totally wrong?? Steve
-
Peter, The Penta's are set to Auto on the front panels & Audio underneath the base. Does the Beomaster require any special set up or are the Penta's settings wrong? Steve
-
Guy's, Have I missed something? I've connected 8 pin powerlink cables from my Beomaster 4500 to my Penta's but I'm getting no sound from either speaker. However the set up works fine when connected to the Beomaster via 4 pin speaker cables. Any suggestion? Thanks, Steve

Any suggestions? When I press the play or fast forward/rewind the tape head appears to engage but only for a second. In short, the tape mechanismn trys to fuction but wont. Cheers, Steve
-
Is this a common problem - a DIY fix possibly? In short the unit doesn't spin the disc and cannot read the CD. Was working fine up until this morning. Can you help? Regards, Steve

Guy's, Can anyone advise how the aluminium panel that covers the record deck's linear arm connects to the main unit? Currently the unit I have, the panel is detached. Does it stay up when correctly attached? On a similar note..... the Beogram CD X - When I press the eject button the glass panel rises fine, is it supposed to close via the button
