Where do you get your quotes from ? I live close to Birmingham and the chip upgrade (version 4.01 west europe) for the Avant costs about £17.00 and the IR cable about £10.00 I presume you could fit this yourself ?

You may need to go into SETUP - SOURCES and then add it from the list again ? I know when I did the install as a clean install ( remove the old version first ) all the extra sources we missing. But they were all added back no problem.

I have the software running on 3 PC's (all XP Pro) runs fine and all pull N music thats stored on a NAS box on the network. Why if the S/W is only for those lucky enough to have Beomaster 5 does the S/W ask if you have a Beosystem 5 connected and then allow you to click NO and the install completes no problem ?

I have 2 beosystem 2's and other Audio equipment inc beoport linked around the house. I have a question regarding linking the beosystems video connection. I know it is possible to link the RF link out on the 1st system to the RF in on 2nd system, tried that and it all works fine. But is it possible to "cross link" the system so that the

Once the unit is turned on, ie pressing a video scource like TV you then press MENU

Beomedia one was build on low spec / low power hardware with minimal cooling to keep the noise down It was also built using Windows XP embeded that is a bit of

Who's using what and what works well ? I have a Sky box, but want to have a bit of FREE sat and even a bit of FREE HD sat, so my question is Who out there in the UK has a story to tell of a good or bad STB ? Full integration with Beo4 using a STB-C version 4.01 west europe table is important I'm thinking :- Humax, either PR-HD 1000 HDCI 2000

Hi Frank, both my units are USB, Your's must be an early unit, the only thing I can think of to try would be to connect it to your PC using a serial (rs232) to USB adapter and just hope it works. It may not work but at least the adapter only costs a few pounds / Euros Regards Richard
