This is what I've tried up to now, thanks to your suggestions. I pulled the computer DVI cable out and tried the component cables, didn't work. I believe it is a mark 2 version because of the component inputs. The Blu-ray player works just fine when hooked up with composite cables, but I'm guessing I'm not getting the better resoulution

Ok...so as I am trying to fiqure out how to hook up my Blu-ray player to this, I have been plugging cables in and out, here and there. Now whaen the tv is off, the red standby light blinks! What does this mean? Guy

Right...that's what I thought. So I guess the other alternative is the component plus audio plugs that are in the back. Any other ideas? Guy

So, I was gifted a Blu ray player and tried hooking it up to the tv. I couldn't fiqure out what I need to do to the tv or remote to see the picture? Any thoughts? Guy
