I had a same problem with my lab 5's so I contacted a B&O local service center. It turns out that "EPROM" Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory needed to be replaced. Since then I haven't had any problem with red flashing light on the lab'5. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the reply BMM. The software update was a full software update along with the new puc list. I have already requested my local b&o to install the old version and i am waiting to hear back from them. Also, beocare has reported this problem to denmark and they are suppose to get back to me with the resolution.

I recently took my BS3 to B&O dealer for software upgrade from 3.0 to 4.17 and to add few additional devices in the puc list. After the software upgrade I can't get any picture thru beosystem 3 to my sony bravia screen. I can see beosystem 3 menu if the source that i am selecting on beo4 is not turned on (for example PS3). If i turn on the source

Beolab 5's. I saw these speakers two years ago in a B&O store in tyson's corner, VA and fall in love with the design and quality of the bang olufsen products. Now i own beolab 5's, beolab 3's, 7-4, beosound 9000, beosystem 3 and more.

Hi All, I am thinking about purchasing either BV7 or BV9 for my family room. I found a dealer who is giving me 25% off on BV7 if i a buy a display model. I like the fact that i am able to save a little bit money if i go with the BV7 but if money is not the issue what would be the way to go and why? Thank you in advance for your help.

Thank you all for your quick response. I contacted beocare and they said this is due to something that is causing overheating in the speaker. I have placed a service call and someone from an electronic service center is coming over to diagnose the problem. Regards, Farooq

One of my beolab 5 speakers goes in a standby mode and redlight starts to blink after running for few hours . When i unplug the power supply and turn it back on it works fine for few more hours and same thing happens. I have tried recaliberating the speakers several time but the problem still exsists. Can anyone help please? Farooq

First of all congrats on the purchase of beolab 5's. These are my fav speakers and good decision on not purchasing beolab 9. I recently had a in home demo of beolab 9's but beolab 3 with beolab 2 sounded so much better than the 9's. I am glad that you mention the software version 3.0 for bs 3 because i am suppose to pickup my new bs3 tomorrow

There is a adapter kit that you can purchase from B&O dealer for $50.00 for Beolab2 to connect to a non b&o receiver.
