when a run of masterlink cables reaches 20m it is nessasery to connect the pink to step the voltage up to maintain correct operation. this is done inside a masterlink junction box. this is also the reason why it is not possible to purchase a 'pre made' masterlink cable woth plugs at each end that is longer than 20m.

A £300 loss and you have had it 5 years? I would shake the guy's hand, rip his arm off and hit him with the soggy end! Think of it like this. At a £300 loss in 5 years, you have paid £60 a year to have it. Not bad at all i think!

Try swapping the scart leads you are using for any extra boxes e.g sky. A poorly screened scart lead can pick up extra signals and can be heard in the background
-
Nope! it requires a BeoMaster 5 to function. Although a BeoMaster 5 will work with a Bang & Olufsen television without the BeoSound 5
-
I can also confirm that the BeoLink Active & BeoLink Passive required a PCB to be exchanged in order for them to accept the A.AUX command. You will prob be looking around £130 for an Active and £40 for a Passive (approx prices, you will be able to get an accurate price from your dealer)

This is possible (V+) depending on the version of Avant (Only the later ones) It is avalible in the leatest PUC software
-
Check the scart lead you are using is plugged into the "TV" socket on the box and not the "VCR" socket. Also check Scart Control is set to on in the SKY HD settings menu

I have a pair of Bolab 6000 speakers in blue - which was a mistake with hindsight... I seem to remember there is a chap who can re-finish the aluminium to change the colour - are you out there? or can anyone tell me which member he is?

Actually my local dealer has BeoMedia on his BV7 as i do and it works extrmely happily!! Also you are putting your BV7 in a slave mode which means you won't need the connectivity anyway as all the sources will be coming from the Avant master set. Its your choice but i dont want to see anyone pay upwards of 8 grand for somthing that could of done

Im confused? could someone please explain to me or give me an example of something they want to connect to BV7 with the SYS3 that they couldn't now? except for 7.1 surround sound or a projector screen which david dosent want to use anyway.
