This sounds very much like you are using a cheaper scart lead that only has an overall screen and not individual screens on the video leads. When you switch to scart input, there is still an off air signal going out of the scart socket for recording purposes. The audio on a DVD is encoded a a bit rate of 48Khz whereas an mp3 or wma is usually encoded at 41Khz. Some players designed for audio only may not be able to decode the higher bit rate. The Beomaster 3500 DOES NOT have an RIAA preamp built into the receiver, and so the connected turntable MUST have one built in. The Beogram 3500 does have the preamp built in, so if you connect most other Beograms to the receiver, you will require a stand-alone preamp kit in order to raise the level, and apply the RIAA characterisric to the signal.

Does anyone know the method of finalizing a DVD-R disc in a DVD2 machine after copying from the hard disc. I cannot find the option anywhere and if I try to play the disc on any other DVD player or in my computer if fails to play. Your BM 44000 was designed before remote control was available on input sources. The BG 4002 was designed to be remote controlled via the 7pin DIN plug.
