• Re: Beocenter 2300

I bought the Beocenter 2300 after all. The laser wasn't faulty. All it needed was a good cleaning /riis
The Beocenter 2300 CD mechanism is, as far as I know, out of production.
Don't you think it's possible to get a refurbished one? But as mentioned before, I'm not sure the cd is faulty. The seller tells that the cd sometimes just spins around. //riis

I would check the doors open smoothly and evenly and close evenly and smoothly too. See it plugged in and working. Check it plays CDs of course and doesnt make any funny noises.
The cd sometimes just spins without playing. Is this a matter of cleaning or is the laser faulty

  • Beocenter 2300

I'm thinking of buying a Beocenter 2300 to replace my CD 50. What common faults do I have to look for. How is it compared to my Beomaster 5500/CD 50. The one I might buy comes with a MCL2P amplifier. /riis

  • Re: CD 50 no sound
It's worth checking if F3 (1.6a fuse)on the fuse board to the rear of the cd mech has blown.I've had this go for no apparent reason. It supplies the voltage for the main muting circuit.Otherwise, double check all interconnecting cable looms are in place. If still no joy,you will need to do some signal tracing
Silly question praps, but have you got the cables mixed up?Beogram cd cables are marked "phono".Could you be using the tape cable? Have you tried connecting the cd50 via the rca connectors rather than din, just to check that sound is def not coming out of the player? The disc won't start when you load

  • Re: CD 50 no sound
From Beocentral Beogram CD 50 29th August 2008 The fault was no sound, although the disc was clearly being played as it turned normally and the time counter was reading correctly. The muting transistors were turned on all the time however, the cause was C351 in the muting circuit, it had dried up and gone
