  • Broken Arm On 4000

    If anyone one has a bulb (6v 30mA) or an old arm from a broken 1102 type 5715 I think a repair may be possible.I think I can get the belts from Martin Many Thanks Peter

    Hi Martin, I think after looking at service manuals the 1102 type 5715-5711 is the closest.Its takes a MMC3000 therefore the face of the mount were the cartridge and mount marry up must be the same. I have stripped out the inside of the arm and it may be possible! If this is one of the arms you have and you can take a close up photo and send to me.I

    Thanks Martin.I think the lamp could be sourced from a good electronic shop.would you agree? I'm searching for the arm or maybe a complete slide from a broken player.i think the cartridge holder may become brittle with time and then does not enjoy transit! I'll get back to you for the belts.I hope I get to that stage. Peter

    I have bought a 4000 on e-bay in working order!However it got damaged in transit(I was warned)The problem is the cartridge holder/connections on the arm.I am trying to repair myself with a very good service manual.The arm (Part 2850052) is a push on fit to the arm holder.This arm was later modified but requires a replacement counterbalance weight.So
