If you want the Beoport then the 3000 is the one to get. The other systems do not support Beoport (N.MUSIC). Not all Beosound 3000 support N.MUSIC, if the software does not support it, it can be upgraded by a dealer. If N.MUSIC is not important for you, then you can also go for the cheaper 2300 and use an adaptor with Masterlink. There are solutions

Happened to me as well! The reason was Beoport, when I close Beoport/Beoplayer and the resident part from the icon in the status bar, the standby will work. I do not know of a workaround. Cheers, Frank

As you said, having access to all the functions without the need to scroll through the LIST is a great advantage. Also controlling all the 3rd party equipment with the remote is great. And the last one is creating macros to combine some commands that you always type one after another. Cheers, Frank

Hallo und willkommen Bernd, schau mal ins Nachbarforum und nutze die Suchfunktion über die gesamte Site, da findest Du einiges zu Beo5 und Steuerung von Fremdgeräten mit Beo4 (u.a. mit Lintronic). Beide Möglichkeiten die Du ansprichst gehen, kosten aber ein bisschen Einarbeitung in die jeweilige Thematik: Beo5 steuert B&O und Fremdgeräte

Hallo, also Du solltest zuerst mal Deinen Haendler bitten, Dir die Konfiguration im XML file zu schicken. Ohne diese musst Du nochmal von vorne anfangen.
