It is a very impressive TV! But $18,755 extra for the motorised floor stand?? So the stand cost the same as a car! At least one can be sure the TV's safe from a break-in to their house with it's 250kg weight. :D

  • Re: Old BV7-40 Mk2 a good alternative for Beosystem3?

Thanks Bv7Mk3 for clarifying the specs!! I could have guessed it's a bit of a wishful thinking on my part ;) Apologies for the silly question. Thanks again for your help!!

  • Old BV7-40 Mk2 a good alternative for Beosystem3?

Hi all, I have a dilemma. At the moment, I've got a 5.1 set up using a very old pre-loved Beosystem1, driving a pair of 9s and 6000s and a 7-4. I'm thinking sometime going forward, I'm going to need to upgrade the Beosystem1 (when it fails etc)... All the time I've been thinking of a Beosystem3, which is very expensive and very hard
I also believe the pace of change in TV technology will slow down and/or TV manufacturors will go out of business.
Stan that's a very good point. I also agree that when it comes to a point where TVs are not progressing as fast as it has been in the last few years, then it might be the ideal time to pick up a

Well for luxury goods it never is rational. Although you pay 5x more for perhaps just 2x the quality, the utility (personal satisfaction/happiness) that it brings sometimes cannot be measured. You'll never get a suitable opinion for that because everybody's utility is different. Some people prefer not to spend on luxury, some people rather spend
Hi all, I have a pair of BL8000 and I'm considdering getting a pair of BL9 to have them in a same set up. Is this overkill?
In the same set up as in move the BL8000 to the back? Not overkill at all. BL9 for front and BL8000 for back is a great combo.

  • Re: unusual setup: select 2 out of 3 Beolabs

That's a big ask without Beosystem 3. I'll be interested to know too! If someone finds a way, we'll see sales of Beosystem 3 plummet :D

I'm in exactly the same scenario as you are mr anders son. I have just recently sold my 8000 and Lab2 combination, for Lab9. I've spent a couple of days before I sold the old speakers to see if there is any huge benefit coupling a Lab9 with a Lab2. Obviously when testing the Lab9 without the Lab2, I have turned Subwoofer off so that the bass
