ok thanks. This seems to work. However i now cannot zap TV channels on my UPC box. This used to be done by pressing the center button and then Up or Down arrow. Any idea which button sequence is the same in Mode 1?

Mogelijk is dit een van de features die op mijn Beovision 8-40 geactiveerd kan worden met een extra licentie sleutel?

I have a MX4000 in my bedroom on a electric B&O wall bracket. I am right in assuming that there used to be an extra for this bracket in the shape of a shelf to place a VCR on? Since I have my DVD1 as spare now since I got my BV-8 I would like to place it under the MX4000. Thanks for the info.

When I had a BV-6 I had a Apple TV (first generation) connected with a HDMI to DVI lead for the picture and used the component L and R connector for sound. Worked great! It might still be available. I your source is not HDCP then you do not need the HD kit. (I do have one for sale if you are interrested though

I have bought à Sony BCP-s370. THE dealers all seam to advice Panasonic but these were expensive and à recent test by THE dutch consumers assosiation gave them low scores. The Sony is packed with features so it functions as media center as well. The PUC controls it very well. Also THE menu's in the Sony are not liftster with THE word

Yes, but there is a second activation setting. NOT the HDMI Matrix. This is mentioned in the new user Guide (page 30) http://www.bang-olufsen.com/UserFiles/File/ug/beovision8-40/beovision8-40_guide_english.pdf
