Hi Jeanrick I didn't realise you were from South Africa!! Nice to always meet fellow South African enthusiasts. There is a company in Durban that refurbish my woofers from my Bevox RL's. THey did a brilliant job. Extremely neat you can't even tell. I'm not sure where you are based.

I'll have a look over the weekend Martin to see if I can repair it. You've given me a description on how it works. If I don't come right I'll take a picture and post it. Thanks Ben

I'm thinking the hinge with the lid? I'm sure that would be the easiest and most economical as I most certainately won't find a replacement in my country. You wouldn't have one lying around per chance would you Dillen?

I'm not sure what ESD means but IT WORKED!! I am SHOCKED!!!! Beomaster is working like a dream. How this fix was worked out I don't know but it works!!!! I feel like I am in heaven listen to music from the most beautiful amp ever. Thanks so much Jaff for the help and Martin I did check the connectors which how I started to get it working in

Hey Jaff Thanks for the link. What type of wire did you use? Thanks Ben

A Beomaster 8000 I received yesterday has a problem. Standby light comes on. I select a source but it doesn't always come on. When it does it sounds amazing!! All channels work and all functions EXCEPT the display and keypad end up freezing. The Bm will keep on playing flawlessly but the keypad functions no longer work and the display keeps changing

Thanks for the idea Ralf but I was hoping for original B&O ones.....call me fussy I guess.

Thanks Chris! I have the printed celluloid one. Just my luck! Will have to get a replacement if I want to use it. Its peeling away. Ben

Just received my Beolab 8000 today. Sadly I tried new transporters which was a bad idea!! The lid on the Beomaster has broken off. From what I can see its the plastic bit the slids onto the alumium lid that has broken and is in pieces. The hinge itself is fine and works. There are bits left in the groove of the beomaster lid but not enough to stay on

I have just received my Beogram 8000 today!! Also has a speed problem. It makes a slight noise every revolution and the 33 flashes, It slows down when this happens then speeds up again. Will look for the tacho disc....have no idea where to look but will look lol!! Have the original schematics.
