  • Controlling Beoport via Beo 4 on Mac

Hello All, I have a BeoLab 2 and a pair of BeoLab 3's connected to my Mac via Beoport. I have the infrared eye attached to the Beoport but can't seem to get the Beo 4 to control the Beoport. What do I need to do to set up my Beo 4 to control the Beoport? The manual makes no reference to Macs or BM-Link and I don't see anything preferences

Funnily enough 'Karmacoma' was one of the tracks I was going to recommend to js to illustrate how good I think the lower frequencies can sound from a BeoLab 2 (and BeoLab 8000's). Also 'Slam' by Pendulum and 'Rutten' by Skream for faster and more complex bass lines. I have heard 'Karmacoma' on BeoLab 5's (and

I've personally only found the BeoLab 2 sounded slow when it was placed in a corner. Moving it away from that corner and a foot away from a wall solved the problem. In terms of detail it sounds like there are subs out there producing more nuanced low ends but I definitely like the warm, full results I get from my BeoLab 2 with all genres of music

Thanks for the information jk1002. I've spoken to a dealer and he's ordered a cable/adapter he seems confident will work. Cheers

  • BeoLab 2 and Mac

Hi All, I did a search on this subject before posting but found conflicting answers. Is it possible to connect my BeoLab 2 to my Mac? I now have BeoLab 3's connected to my Mac and they sound great. Very impressive in high and mid range so I'm pleased. The bass is good at higher volumes but I'd like a deep sub bass at low to medium volume

Thanks everyone for your valuable input. I think I will do it. I can always get the Emu 202 if I feel I need to, so thanks for the info Puncher.

Thanks for the input guys. I just looked and have a built in sound card which is a 'Burr Brown PCM3052'. Not sure if it's particularly good or bad.

  • BeoLab 3's and Mac tower

Hello all, I'm thinking of buying some BeoLab 3's for use with my G5 Mac and iTunes. Has anyone got such a set up? Any thoughts or anything I should know? Silly question but what do the lights do when you turn the Mac off? Do they start up when you start up the Mac or are they permanently on green? Thanks

One more question. Which cable do I need for a Beosound 9000? Can someone confirm it's RCA jack to AUX? Will any good hifi shop sell this or do I need to get one from B&O? I've bought the Belkin stereo cable Apple sell, but I think it's the wrong one because can't find any sockets for it. Thanks
