Quite the opposite! The 'R' Leicas have always lived in the shadows of the 'M' cameras. All Leicas are fine machines but after the Leicaflex SL2 there are several Minolta based 'R' cameras which, while still fine picture taking machines don't have the feel of the 'M' cameras. Like I say I only saw it myself for the first time the other day and my mother says she doesn't think it's happened before although I suspect this isn't true!
