I've got my Beogram TX with an MMC2 cartridge and I love them to death... I've been crawling through the pages of posts on this forum and it seems as though TX-related posts are very rare to come by... is there a reason for this? Is this a rare model? Also it seems as if the Beogram 4000 and 8000 TT's are the most popular on here... how

Thanks very much for the info. The suspension still appears to be working since the cartridge is not dragging on the record, so I assume that means it still has a bit of life left. From what I've been reading on here, storage seems to ruin these turntables so it looks like I got lucky with mine since it was in storage for 25 years. I'm having

Any idea where I can get a 8000 or 6006 platter? Short of buying an entire broken 8000 turntable off of an auction site just so I can salvage the platter, I haven't found anything. I'll give Atlantic Systems Electronics a call tomorrow and see if they can help.

Thanks for your response - is there a way I can verify that it's interchangable with the 8002? Also, should the rubber actually raise the record from the metal platter? Because I'm thinking that the rubber is damaged from storage and shrank...

I was doing a bit of work on the innards of my Beogram TX turntable and once I was done it was dirty all over so I started cleaning all the outer components. I got a bit too carried away with the isopropyl alcohol and started rubbing some parts down with it... all went well until I started rubbing the platter with it. I was in low light so I didn't

I decided to grab my balls and take a shot in the dark.. I went ahead and took my best guess at what went where and low and behold... it works! Sounds even better than before... although that might just be the sense of accomplishment For anyone wondering, the wires disconnected in the picture are two sets of two wires - one insulated (black) and one

Thanks. I have a service manual already. As far as I can tell, there is no diagram of this output PCB in it. All I see is a scematic and a few diagrams of the main, large PCB. Excuse my ignorance, but how would tracing the wires help me? None of them are labled and they cross each other on the way to the ribbon cable attached to the tonearm assembly
