Thanks for the reply. I looked again for myself a bit closer and could see a sizeable difference in the cartridges. The 3400 also has the MMC 20EN on it now. How does that compare to the cartridge you mentioned.

As you have described i must have the not so rare versions of both. My 1800 then would be the 5811-5 and it is very slim and elegant. The 3400 would be the 5726. By your description I'm sure of that as well. Are the cartridges interchangeable on these two tables?

I have 4 working turntables including 2 beograms, an 1800 and a 3400. Thinking about reducing my inventory a bit. Which of these beograms if either of the beogram models is a definite keeper over the other. Thanks.

I have a Beogram 3400 that just needs some of the little tabs that hold the dustcover spring hinge assembly together. Thats all. Everything else about this table is good. I would like the dustcover to work though. I also havwe a Beogram 1800 that works and looks like it is missing a bottom plate. Are the only parts available those from parts donors

I picked up a nice Beogram 3400 table the other day with the MMC 20EN cartridge. My first B&O and I like it. It works and sounds good too but I noticed right off something was amiss with the spring hinge for the dustcover. I probably should have never done this but I took it apart and found one of the 3 tabs was broken. The outer one nearest the
