Thanks Chris. I've discovered tune-in radio and it's this I've had to get working with the BS8 using trial and error. It's working out the difference between "on", "stand by" and "deep sleep" that's been taxing. With an iPod touch docked you then have two devices that have to be in the correct state

It's a great bit of kit and sounds very good. You need to discount most of the comments from the smart arses in this forum and just enjoy it. I've had mine since before Christmas and it's taken me some trial and error to set up the radio alarm because the free B&O app is rubbish. 20 radio stations none of which I'd want to wake up

I agree that €12.99 simply for more radio stations is far, far too much. Stick with tune-in radio app which gives the alarm and sleep timer functions.

I loved when I first saw a picture of it, loved in when I saw it in the flesh and love it now sitting on a shelf above my bed! Many years ago I had exclusively B&O products and then went away from them. This has brought me back to the brand, so it has performed a function. The sound is excellent, better than the Denon tuner with B&O speakers
