I will again clean as my update is that when I loaded again I got the CD to play but the disc wouldn't eject and after I got the disc out it wouldn't play again. My knowledge of the componets as you describe is limited so my question is 'is

Got a Beosystem 5000 and the trusty CD50 started with slow draw movement, but with a light pressure help it would close but now the player has stopped. Removed the cover and found the problem, 'fluff' for the draw movement problem but... with the cover off/power on/and a cd loaded there dosn't seem to be any spin from the motor? although
