mm...fixed it! took the lower glass panel off, noticed it wasnt in square at the cd end...found a loose screw (looked liked an earthing screw with cable on it) then found a plastic cover for an led? put that back on, hoovered out any dust, then put back in properly. 10secs later all working...thanks for the help anyway. All, its been left over night and still doesnt want to work. In standby mode, i can press the tape button and it slides back and forth no problem, the cd side does not want to work. When i turn the unit on (by remote 1000 only), then the cd will play (only via remote) and none of the buttons on the cd section want to work, nor will the central ones
