  • RX2+mmc4=snap crackle pop.

So I have a mint B&O RX2 TT. It is in outstanding shape. The Cartrige is a MMC4 with unknown hours gained from another player. I noticed that I had got some pops and crackle sounds most notibly when a silent portion of the LP on my older Beogram 2000 TT, hooked up to my vintage H/K reciever with a build in phono preamp. I hooked the cartridge up

  • Re: beogram 2000 arm issues

Ok, so its playing much better, however the black pivot piece on thte arm can be lifted off the assembly. It will slightly cant counter clockwise when it plays maybe a degree or two. Im getting poping almost every second, besideds that it plays ok, but Im woried about when the arm can be lifted of and move so much. Is it a adjustement in the front,

  • beogram 2000 arm issues

Just hooked up my beogram 2000. Im having issues with the arm I think. If I turn it on it will track to the beginning of the record for a second or two then lift up and return to the right. It was tracking fine at first and then it would not play well on one of my LP's "loop" so I slightly adjusted the numbered weight. I then had problems

  • Re: Turntable beo RX

SO my player is on the way with a MMC 4, Im also thinking of going with a rotel RX970BX preamp or NAD PP2, which setting do I set it for MM or MC, as the B&O cartridge is a combination of the two.??

  • Re: Turntable beo RX

thank you for your help, My reciever is a H/K avr-247, it does not have a phono preamp, so Im now looking at a project or NAD pp2. I didn't even realize I had to get one. Is a MMC3 or MMC2 that much difference over a MMC5?

  • Turntable beo RX

Im looking at purchasing an early RX turntable. I really cannot find too much info on this model, I have however found quite a bit on the RX2. Would the RX in good working shape be a good starting place, or should I look at trying to find a RX2 or TX2.
