  • Re: RUMOUR - Beosound 9000 is to be discontinued

when i quized my local B&O store a few weeks ago, he said they weren't expecting any new "audio" products in 2009, but that's not to say nothing for 2010. i think at a minimum Beosound 4 should incl a hard drive like Beosound 3200 since it can cater to multi source. kinda disappointing you have multi source but just 1 CD, radio

  • Re: Idealab staff cut 50% from Business.dk "Google translation"

where B&O has been sourcing components from other manufacturers, i think it has been disappointing that the recent products have been less obsolete proof than their products used to be. in one of the other postings, someone mentioned the Kuro panels. With the premium that B&O commands, these panels should have been sourced and integrated with

  • Re: Another aussie!

My BAD! I went in today - it was a Mk III - the lady meant it now comes with a built in blu ray player - not meaning that the one she pointed to was the one! so yeah - mkIII screen was awesome - so i'm sorry Elephant if this builds any doubt on your purchase. The BV8-40 was full HD and looked good. they've almost got everything up and running

  • Re: Discount negotiation on new B&O equipment in Australia

DJs is refurbishing the whole of level 2 and the mezanine floor. As a result, B&O have a disappointingly small corner on Level 3 (turn left as you get out of the elevator). I asked the Cllins St store lady how the DJs arrangement works, if B&O have to pay rent. She said not entirely sure but she believes DJs gets a % of sale or something like

  • Re: Discount negotiation on new B&O equipment in Australia

as i understand it, the B&O stores in Australia are owned by B&O since a few yrs ago. so the margin is what B&O Retail Pty Ltd want to make within their targets. i asked my local dealer and he said he can ask (i presume manager/someone more senior) but i didn't push him for it since my purchase wasn't 'substantial' will try

  • Re: BV7-40 Mark IV ... second thoughts / what is the "problem"

i've not tested the Loewe - but from what the article describes - B&O should have released something like this for it to be in front of the market, esp in the premium segment. http://www.smarthouse.com.au/TVs_And_Large_Display/Industry/J8U7J8N8

i was shown a BV7-40 with built in blu ray - i presume it was a mkIV as i didn't know that a mkIII came with this option? i must add though Friday was their last day of renovations and things were getting shuffled, so it may be moved around? the store site on the web also mentioned in-store demo of it (but site is now down for maintenance - wonder

Collins St. I must add, I did not view SD content on it. only Blu ray and HD. it had the 7-4 speaker on it. Think they had a bond movie playing. PS: There's a Visa Platinum demo night on 11 june - I emailed them but haven't heard back. https://www.visaplatinum.com.au/Categories/Home-Entertainment/VIP-Bang---Olufsen-Showcase-Nights.aspx And a

ditto - i have one but it operates non B&O stuff (more like i don't have any B&O stuff to operate!). if only B&O made one like the Beo 4 that is a true universal remote! paid AUD195 for it brand new from www.csw.com.au . excellent out of the box. software driven which has a huge database of appliances. great to hold, nice charging dock
