  • Re: B & O starting to fall behind?

Couple of thoughts: All brands experience strong and less-successful eras, and at times have 'Serenata/DVD2 moments' - Aston Martin Cygnet anyone? (for those that may not have seen: http://www.carpages.co.uk/aston_martin/aston-martin-cygnet-29-06-09.asp Obviously, everyone is going crazy about Apple gear at the moment, but it wasn't always

  • Re: Where is the Serenata?

Simon - I think you are totally right - I recently called into the Tag Heuer UK flagship store and noticed they have mobile phones for sale at B&O (PLUS) prices. The Tag Heuer assistant was telling me about the amazing design (looked very ordinary to me!) and the fact you can have models with diamonds in (yuk!). The assistant asked me what phone

  • Re: Newbie

Yeah - I think it is true. I first bought a beocenter 2002 when I was a student collecting funk records. Ever since I took it to a B&O dealer for a service (10 years ago) I've been into B&O in a big way & now have a house full of the stuff! I have a Serenata too and love it! It gets a bit of stick, but it is totally unique. All the iphone

  • Re: B & O Highs and Lows

Wow - a BS9000 falling off the wall! To be fair, B&O stuff can be pretty fiddly to wall-mount - I remember trying to fit my answerphone to the wall once, that involved a few highs and lows... But the fact that your BS9000 remained intact - what a result! and yeah - love the clockwork orange avatar Stephan!

  • Re: B & O Highs and Lows

Hi Andy T. Good point - I should talk to my dealer about the Serenata screen issue. The thing is, I feel a bit guilty as I'd already bought this Serenata (about 4 months ago) from an Ebay seller. Unfortunately, and this is my fault, without a warranty. I then recently bought a BV8 40 at the low introductory rate with a free Beo5 AND a new Serenata

  • Re: I hate my Beo 5!

Well, I think the Beo5 is a grower. Got one with our BV8 40 and at first I could'nt work out what the function was going on, and just wanted to use our old Beo4 (which is now on Ebay with our Beovision 6 22 - the one with the James Bond Gunbarrel picture!). Whereas now, I actually prefer it over the Beo4. I think it has a bit if that B&O wow

  • B & O Highs and Lows

Went to the Proms last night - had a wonderful evening. Was thinking about the Beolab 9s. Then stepped out for a coffee in the interval and saw a pair of lab 9s and a Beosound 4. Everyone was impressed, I thought it was a sign and that I must get them. In short, it was a great evening, got back to the hotel and played the music I heard at the proms

  • Re: How many Beoworlders are also Saab enthusiasts?

Hi Graham Saab is one of my favourite brands, along with B & O. In my opinion they have similar values - unique design, highly innovative and quirky (Serenata's navigation wheel & Saab's night panel button!). Recent years have been turbulent for both brands too, but i get the feeling that they're both in the process of turning things

  • Re: New BV8 40 - first impressions at home

Well thanks to the Tube drivers striking today, I'm 'working' from home - plenty of time to spend with the new BV8!! It'd be great if other bv8 40 owners shared their experiences here too (I meant to write that in the first post, but forgot in my excitement). Zwaan, I'll let you know how i get on with film mode changes later &

  • New BV8 40 - first impressions at home

Our new BV8 40 was installed on Saturday. The wife and I spent the whole weekend watching our favorite films and TV - we're very, very impressed indeed. The in-built freeview software really adds to the whole experience - we love the graphics and overall user experience. The TV is hooked up to Beolab 6000s and a PS3. Having read the forum here about
