  • Re: BEOVISION 10 Setup

I hope you don't get the wrong impression of this forum. Of all the forums I keep in touch with, Beoworld is by far the most sensible and civilised, with many posters receiving genuine help and advice with B&O related issues. I'm sure there has been a misunderstanding of what I consider a perfectly legitimate question. Welcome to Beoworld

  • Re: MX4002 link aspect ratio problems

Yes, the later MX4200 can handle a widescreen format, but displays it at the top of the screen with a thick black band underneath! This model has the modular chassis from the Beovision 1 and a flat 4:3 Panasonic 21inch tube. Neil.

  • Re: Avant 32 RF DVD - Picture Problems

Trevor, Welcome to Beoworld, and sorry that no one has replied to your post. I am sure that someone can help you. The tube will be a Philips and used in other sets, but I believe a B&O spare comes complete with delflection coils already fitted and aligned. The "chassis" change is now B&O policy when any fault develops, to speed up

  • Re: Beovision8 Tuning Problem - Advice Please

jimmcc09, I'm certainly no expert, but I have had to deal with several Freeview STB tuning problems following Digital Switchover. Have you ever received ITV3? This was one of the services moved to MuxA/SDN at the national re-tune date 30/09/09. Some STB's need the old information to be erased, usually with a factory reset, before retuning, otherwise

Jimmcc09, Are you able to view the other services on the same Freeview Multiplex as ITV3? Try Virgin1 on 20, Fiver on 30, and Five USA on 31. If you are receiving these ok then you should also be receiving ITV3 on 10. If you are not receiving any, then the Beovision 8 is not recognising the Freeview Multiplex carrying these services, which may be due

  • Re: Loewe and B&O: My dreadful experience

Really sorry to hear of your experience. It can be really awful to buy a product and then find it does not come up to expectations. As far as a refund is concerned, I think you are entitled to a full reimbursement if the product is not "fit for purpose", in other words faulty. I think I am right in saying that under consumer law you are entitled

  • Re: Beovision 3-32 coming: what should I know about it?

ipaul, I'll gladly watch a CRT tv as well as long as the tube is ok, but even though I would prefer to keep my Avant than buy a flat panel tv, if the tube fails I don't think I could justify paying B&O prices for a replacement. I'm also concerned that you say a new tube is not likely to be as good. It looks like your "tapping"

  • Re: Beovision 3-32 coming: what should I know about it?

ipaul, Are you sure that these tubes are still being manufactured? I thought that the LG/Philips CRT partnership had gone bankrupt and the factory in the Czech Republic closed. Is there a tube of this type being manufactured anywhere now? I know that broadcasters are having to come to terms with LCD monitors since the high quality CRT displays in use

  • Re: CRT vs LCD

Soren, I also have a problem coming to terms with the "LCD Blur" on motion, and if my Avant was to fail I do not know what I would replace it with. The fact that you still preferred your Beovision 3 in a side by side test with a Beovision 8-40 is not very encouraging since the latter is alleged to be as good as LCD gets at the moment. I too

Dave Selecting "menu" on the Beo4 remote should give you access to the user adjustments. Regards, Neil.
