  • Re: Overture CD only responds in Testmode...

Thank you for your quick response. Have you solved a similar problem by changing caps? I suspect some µController, or other control issue, because the drive must be electrical "ok" when i can perform these test procedures. My service manual is mainly about the almost similar beosound 2500, and this manual shows how to perform CD play

  • Overture CD only responds in Testmode...

Hello out there I have an Overture Type 2623. The CD does not work in normal operation. When i select CD and press Play, the display shows "CD <>". I can hear the laser is focusing in the beginning, but the CD does not spin up. When i enter service mode, and try all the manual functions, like CD spin up, CD stop, move sledge to outer

  • Re: MX4000 deflection connector burned....

As a follow up, i soldered the wires manually, and it have worked perfectly for month now. As a hint to the story, the lady told me that the picture tube was changed during the waranty. This seems to be an ooops made by the technician ;)

  • Beosound Overture, No response on Tape/CD/IR...

Hello out there I just recived my new Beosound Overture Type 2623, but it does not work as it should. At the first look the CD try to focus, but does not spin up. The Tape deck try to load the tape, but does not run the tape. Furthermore it does not react to my Beo4 or Beolink1000. Have you seen failure like this before. At my first point i suspect

  • MX4000 deflection connector burned....

Hello out there I brought a defective MX4000 MKII type 3334 from 1995. The lady i brought it from told me, that suddenly one day when she wathced television, black smoke went out of it, and she turned it off. I expected it was due to some exploded capacitors or resistors, but i can se the connector on the picture tube have a burned print circuit line

  • Re: MX7000 with white horisontal lines in picture...

ipaul>> That sounds like a smart move, to interchange the output connections to the tube. I just read your post a bit to late, because i already had done some soldering on the output board today. It actually showed several broken solderings at the big components. Big resistors and a capacitor. But not any related to the Green output. After resoldering

  • Re: MX7000 with white horisontal lines in picture...

Thank you for your answer! Ipaul>> Yes i also realised that it was important to describe the error were green in stead of white :) I will start out with resolder the output board again. I will change the three output transistors, and se if it helps. I have tried to condition the G2 and focus trimmer, but without success. What about the PAL board

Die_Bogener >> Thank you for your input! Im just wondering, the picture distortion is green like?? But you are right. I should try to move G2 to remove dust inside. In which area should i change caps? It will maybee be at little overkill to change all of them :) I have found a servicemanual for the MX7000 on eserviceinfo.com. It doesnt say anything

Thank you very much for your reply! I have noticed, that the color the screen lights up is slight green, and the lines are green too. Its both on television picture, and in teletext. Maybee its the green chanel in the output module? Ipaul>> Yes the model is 7894. It seems to get off the tube quite easy, without violence, but should i change it
