Try the different settings and placements out and listen until you're happy (maybe even do whet the listening panal does, and go to a live performance during this time of figuring out how you want the sound to be) , i'd firstly try both on corner, your living room sounds exactly like mine!

Soundproof, my room is medium - small sized with minimal materials to absorb the sound (leather couch, wooden floorboards, wooden blinds etc.) My BS 4 arrived with loudness set to on, and when i toggle it on/off at higher volumes, it doesn't seem to make an audible difference, so there ya go, it does vary with the volume (on the BS 4 anyway).

B&O make special products, and it isn't about the price tag for us Beolovers. Sounds like a slightly one sided and very clinical conclusion. You get what you pay for, but it's all about what you WANT to get for what you pay for. ...If that made any sense
