The people speaking of "double stereo" may mean SACD or other multi-channel playback, where the original recording is mastered for more than two stereo speakers. I agree with Peter that just spreading out a two-channel recording to four speakers muddles things up. But then I'm also a bit of a fanatic on that topic - in my cars I always

Got myself one of these. It's equipped with two close-spaced mid/top drivers according to the Embracing Sound principle, which actually creates a stereo "illusion", in spite of the narrow base. Can be connected to a woofer, and has two line-ins for other sources and a headphone out. It's also got an FM tuner - UPDATE: Seems the tuner

Get the 4000s. They'll go well with your BL8000s. Mount them on stands or up on the wall behind your listening position. I haven't heard the new ones with ICE and don't know of any incompatibility with BL8000s, but if that's an issue then go hunting for a pair of used ones. Reox: The Grado's sound very interesting. I'm enamoured with my Sennheiser HD650's! A noticeable step up from my previous mid range Sennheiser's. Fuller bass and more detail. Yes. People say the HD650s are musical, and the HD600s are analytical. Curious about the 650, they are supposed to be very nice. I have used a pair of HD580 for
