Fair enough Phil, I (wrongly) assumed the 8002 was akin to the TX which uses the same tonearm with the later MMC* cartridge fitting and does differ as I mentioned earlier - DOH. Chris.

Hi Phil and welcome to Beoworld The 8002 was a later deck from the 8000 and although very similar there are quite a few differences (tachodisc control abandoned & a completely different turntable drive method being just 2 of them) so I very much doubt if the board you have on your desk is the same one used in your beogram. The muting relay will be located just prior to the DIN output lead. It will be in a small clear plastic housing mounted on a PCB. The beogram 5005 doesn't have the RIAA fitted, it is in the beomaster 5000. Chris.

A14BEO: T2 - "Heartbroken" - crap British garage!! But, through Lab 1's, a Lab 2 and Lab 3's it sounds slightly better than normal! All you need now Matt is to add some Lab 4's & 5's and you'll have the full set Got "The Feeling" helping me cope with the Christmas wrapping just now. Chris.
