The only difference between A and non A is that the non A were designed for non B&O decks and the cartridge body has a 1/2" bracket attached. You can fit an SP12 to an SP10 cartridge body as the cartridges are identical. Axel can either supply a new stylus or retip your SP10 and make it an SP12. Very nice deck you have there!

Agree with this - but I still have CRTs which produce very nice pictures. I am not about to buy a new B&O TV or the BS5 when they don't work with the technology they are designed to use. TVs with only one digital tuner and no recording medium or digital music players which simply don't do what they should will always be useless - even in

Beograms will work with any amplifier - ideally get an older one with a dedicated record player input or you will also need an RIAA. This is the connector you will need. B&O receivers are very cheap to buy though. You could well get one for less than the cable if you look around! Cartridge boxed and wife taking it to the P.O. tomorrow!

Actually the BeoTime is a definite return to form! Very tactile, easy to use and a total joy. More like this please!

The difference now is the internet. Most people are now connected especially if they are investing in products like the Beosound 5. It is very easy to simply enter 'Beosound 5' or 'B&O' into Google and you will soon find your way to BeoWorld. You may well not post, but you can read. It is how I found beocentral and the first Beoworld

It will work fine but obviously no remote control, as this is controlled via the Beomaster/Beocenter. You need an amplifier with an RIAA built in or an external one and remember that the MMC2 is a moving iron design so is treated as moving magnet but has slightly lower output. You need to turn the amplifier up about a notch more than expected.

Yes, but if B&O aim at this market, they will leave behind their core customer. Remember that the US is a fairly small part of the B&O market and B&O is a very small fish in a big pond. The German, UK and Danish markets are the biggest by a fair margin but have taken a big hit with the home market. The US market also shrank a lot. I don't

I would click on the link at the bottom and get Keith to program this for you. The configuration tool is fine for B&O products - to an extent - but Keith will make your Beo5 work properly. I am going to get him to do mine! (And I have the software too!)

These are very complex beasts. A capacitor kit would be a good place to start and can be obtained from Martin - Dillen on site.
