The Datalink signal is carried in either pin 6 or pin 7 depending on the device. If I can deduce from your nick name / avatar that you are trying to connect something to the upright family of music centers, I believe not all of them support Datalink through the AUX connector at all.

An MCP5500 will not work at all. The only remotes with any use with a Beomaster 5000 will be MCP5000 and Terminal 5000 (NOT Beolink 5000!).
