Hi there. Yes, you connect the Beolab 2 to your Beosound 4, then both your 8000s to the Beolab 2. This way, the Beolab 2 handles the lower frequencies and leaves the 8000s to handle the rest. For some strange reason, 8000s can't be daisy-chained Andy T.

I really don't know Christian Trial and error might be best, unless someone with experience can comment.
