355f: B&O isnt in a downturn- the ultra high end! but it would seem the stores are- funny that Again, you're too pessimistic. Just as one Leeds store closes, it doesn't mean everything is doom and gloom - how many ultra luxury brands have more than one store in one town (area)? Do Jaguar? Do Armazi Collezioni? Prada stores in Roundhay? You

j0hnbarker: Assuming what you say is correct Moxxey, it's easy to see why of the two B&O stores within 4 miles of each other in Leeds, it's the one out of the city centre in the suburbs that is closing. Lots of people are still spending money in Leeds on luxury items, and I guess the store nearest to this activity is going to feel the benefit

Alex: There is a theory that in a credit-crunch such as the one happening right now, the upper-class.. It's not necessarily a class thing here though, Alex. Many of the ultra luxury clientèle come from new money, such as oil, rather than land or traditional wealth. They're the type of people who join the supercar clubs, are on the Soho

joeyboygolf: The major part of the problem is the general very sharp downturn of trade in many luxury goods. Absolutely incorrect. In the Sunday Times there was a big report on this on how 'ultra luxury' brands are bucking the downturn, with wealthy clients spending in a way that laughs at the so-called downturn. Yes, but what is 'soon' for B&O? It was someone else on here - someone more in the know than myself - who mentioned the 24fps upgrade would be later in the year.

"Change my BV 7-40 into a brand new BV 9" Are you sure? Ca you justify the expense? I've looked at the BV9 and, when watching HD on my BV7-40 MKIII, personally I find the BV7-40 image more realistic. The BV9 looks slightly more washed. Looks like it has a little smoothing applied to the image. However, the BV9 is definitely not a £6000

No, and it will be highlighted on here when it's released! Latest news is 'later this year', nothing more.

Yes, this is bad news. However, I was recently looking at the BC6-23 and wondered if it had DTV built-in and at least one HDMI socket (for easy digital connection). It has neither. Nor does the BC6-26. Quite frankly, that's astonishing. No single HDMI socket (I don't want HD, I just want to easily connect a PS3, or Apple TV or other box) nor

I'm hoping (but not assuming) that I'd be able to connect to it wirelessly, through my Mac or PC and be able to control the tracks from my desk? Right? I'd also like to be able to use my iPod with some kind of Remote Buddy control, so I don't have to be sitting next to the Beosound 5 to change tracks. Does anyone know if the Beosound

Flappo The Grate: roll on the bv7/40 blu ray that's all i can say - woohoo !! Yeah, I bet the PQ will be even better than through the PS3, too! Good point about flogging old Blu-ray's second hand. I might try that on eBay.
