  • Re: Se*iest B&O speaker - design only

If they are se*y enough for a Kylie video (I Should Be So Lucky) then they're se*y enough for me. I'm talking Penta's of course but I could be tempted by the BL8000's.

  • Re: BEOVOX 4700

Hi John & welcome to Beoworld When you say the bass driver has erupted, do you mean the (paper) cone itself or the foam surround which may have disintegrated? If the latter is the case then a fix is available. Chris.

That's very generous of you Steve and probably the best option for Charles Chris.

A bit of a tough one I'm afraid. Parts are no longer available for these so the best you can hope for is if someone on here has any spares. I've seen people use large flat headed screws sawn down but it isn't an ideal fix to be honest. The mains lead is much easier, it is a standard figure of 8 lead which is used on most portable & some

  • Re: Ooops! Guess who really designs for Apple?

I'm not totally convinced by this article. Sure some of the designs could be construed is being "inspired by" or even "copied" whether coincidental or purposely. Most of the comparisons look a little tenuous in the least though IMO. Either way they're all lovely designs Chris.

Hi CharlesSadler and welcome to beoworld Is it fair to assume that the 3 plastic "plugs" which hold the baseplate on and act as sliders are broken? Chris.

  • Re: Beogram 5005

Hi nikkofan don't forget you will probably have to adjust the tracking weight to 1.5g. Simple to do, just (carefully) slide the plastic slider on the tonearm to correct setting on the graduations. Agree with Peter re:- SMMC4 though, lovely cartridge and a huge improvement on the MMC5. Chris.

The photos show an original B&O female DIN (the square one) and a proprietory female end so you need 2 male DIN plugs.. You can buy ready made 2 pin DIN speaker cables from most electrical suppliers (eg, Maplins in the UK) for not much money with moulded plugs. If you decide to put your own plugs on though make sure the positive wire is connected
