It is displayed all the time but the backlight only comes on for a short time when touched.

Hanging on for your recommendation on the new CDs! What do you think of them?

We don't have the 7000 but the 6500 is on which is the same except for the RDS board.

Like it more and more! Picking out tracks I had forgotten about! Jazz Mix on at present. Duke Ellington just following Django Rheinhardt. Eager to see what comes next!

Lights are not an option in the alarm menu though you can control lights in remote mode. I did a few pictures in the Beoworld product article and the user manual is on site as well.

I would get the 5000 - more connections and newer. The 6000 has a nasty tendency to overheat and blow one channel. It is also quite large. However you do need the MCP5000 if you get the 5000. Both units use their own remotes but the 5000 is far more common. For $200, I would expect the remote to be included and the unit to be in very good condition

He is always offering assistance to those with complex needs on the repair front, entertains us with photomontage stories of restorations, and behind the scenes finds rare and unusual manuals for our archives. A huge thank you from me and I am sure all

Looks fair to me - it looks like you have the CD50 cd player which is not as desirable as the CD5500 and is difficult to fix if it breaks. However $600 seems a fair price.
