Stefan, I am intrigued with the idea of using my beo4 for my entire setup, my girlfriend constantly asks why I haven't done it yet , as she always reaches for the beo 4 first instead of the plastic Panasonic lump. Which lintronic product is it? The Pana doesn't have a SCART connection, however I will check again to verify when I get home tonight

It doesn't have a headphone socket, so I think I will just have to limit myself to listening to DVDs. Thanks mika

Exactly Stan, my shop teacher would always say "we aren't building a swiss watch!" That saying is a bit more common than the B&O iteration.

I have a 36" Panasonic projection/tube style tv that has only one audio output, the problem is that it is a volume controlled output. When connected to my BM4500 I have to have the volume up quite high and then use the tv remote to turn up the volume, in turn increasing the signal to the Beomaster and then ultimately raising the volume. It can be quite irritating when you have to explain everything to them. I wish B&O would really catch on over here. I feel like I am the only person in the mid west that knows anything about B&O.

People love my BS4500. They always say wow! when I tell them it is from 1988. That's when they start asking a whole bunch of questions about the website and the nearest dealer. At the same time everyone is like "Bang and who?" in the states. All they know is Bose as high end.

Peter, I think that any vintage B&O will be good as it is all remarkable for the most part. I do agree with Milton on how there should be a representation of all the product lines (phone, remote, receiver, cd, etc.). The speakers however will still be a difficult choice as there are so many, and it will be hard to represent with only one or two

I am also presently contemplating a similar bookshelf sized system. In my opinion I don't classify the BL6000 as a compact speaker. I would probably stick with the 2500 or the 4000. Another possibility being the BL4, although not the best sonically, it would be a good speaker for light infrequent use.

Why would anyone do this?? It is definitely following the same trend as that Beosound 3 that we saw not too long ago. I'm sure they won't make a good profit return haha.

Second hand prices will have large variation between because of condition as the stopped production in 1995.
