Your dealer is probably correct. Total flexibility is probably impossible to achieve. He is also correct when he says that you cannot have 2 master devices in the same system. One is master and one is slave. I don't think your dealer is confused, he is just telling it like it is! Any talk of Beosound 5 is premature. Unless coolskin knows something

There is no upgrade kit but the 3200 clamper can be fitted on the 2300 to update it's apperarance. The part number is 3153031

As with all B&O the value very much depends on condition. If in mint condition, £600 is a very good deal.

Your dealer can order the software upgrade for the BL3500. Price is around £20. Details are provided in the FAQ section of the main site. I am not aware of software upgrade for BS4

Yes the beolink passive connected with ML would work or you could use a third party power amp connected to the powerlink socket on the 9000 with a suitable adapter lead, possibly DIN-RCA
