Trip, I think that's a tad unfair. I agree we're sick of these debates, but we're not have a school ground fight here.

Not really, it's just the market has become a lot cheaper and perceived 'value' is not what it used to be. The modern speakers are superb, I love my BS4 and am happy with the BV7-40 MKIV. There are some bad apple's in the B&O portfolio, but hopefully these issues will be addressed with the new CEO. Apple doesn't get everything

I'm also busy looking for a second set and was thinking of either the BC6-26 or BV8-26 and, although I prefer the design of the BC6-26, it's lacking some key features, such as HDMI, DTV and so on. The BV8-26 will have a better panel than the old BV6-26, although it lacks some of the visionclear features. I think I'm going to go for a white

So I was told. Who knows? I was also told recently there would be a BV6-40, so maybe this UK guy was getting confused! Maybe the UK price increase will be nominal - ie. much lower than previous years? For instance, I was told an additional £50 for the updated BV8.

Why not recommend the BL9's? Bear in mind the original post - he has EUR 2200 to spend,.

If my budget was limited, I'd go for the BS1. BS4 (which I own), is decent, but I'm not a big fan of all the cabling that's loose at the back, particularly when using it with DAB.

I was also told that price decreases are definitely not planned. BV8 will get DTV, but will only go up by £50 or so, which isn't too bad. Better news is a new 2x HDMI-based chassis for the BV7-32, BV6-32 (yes, vision), BV8-40. No idea when, but that's happening.

Heard this morning that there will be the regular B&O UK price rises during July, this year. No idea how much products will go up in price, but a local dealer confirmed that they'd been told that prices will increase. Anyone else heard about this?

Their site is fairly up-to-date, too: http://www.bang-olufsen.com/sw7566.asp It's actually a fairly decent store, the Harrogate store. I was in there over Christmas and made it fairly clear I wasn't there to purchase (it's all done through the Bath store), but they still spent 30 or so minutes chatting about things B&O, products, the

Puncher: Is the Harrogate store still open? - when I was in town at the end of Feb. it looked liked it had closed down! It's still open. The store is/was getting a revamp, from what I was told when I was last at the store (at Christmas). I'm sure that's completed by now though!
