  • Re: BeoSound 5

That's fine, and in that case, the BeoSound 9000 seems more appropriate. The fact of the matter is though, the BeoLab 5s are not exactly all that expensive when compared to other high-end systems! A complete Naim + B&W setup of 'comparable' performance to the BeoLab 5s would set you back over twice as much, and Naim make a CD player costing nearly twice

  • Re: Join me in wishing "All the best" to our ambassador!

Have a good time Lee! I'd let them choose the demo music if I were you though...

  • Re: BeoSound 5

I'm looking forward to this a lot, more than the TVs. BeoLab 5s have nothing else in the audio range to match their performance, hopefully this'll bring things up to speed...

  • Re: OSX cracking on a PC

I've done it and it's not worth the hassle. It breaks every time there's an Apple update (which is very very frequently), doesn't give you Quartz Extreme (part of what makes OS X so efficient) and you'll have serious issues getting drivers. RE Macs being PCs under the skin, completely not true. Macs have an EFI instead of a BIOS, they manage their power

  • Re: BeoLab 4 PC speakers

BeoLab 4000s are actually very suitable computer loudspeakers. The problem with the 3s is that they tend to reveal everything in the recording, which for a computer isn't always a good thing as you'll be listening to lower quality sounds a lot of the time (such as compressed music etc...), and BeoLab 4s just aren't enough for some. BeoLab 4000s are

  • Re: Beolab2

pedrompinto: Alex: What!? BeoLab 5s or BeoLab 9s? I would have 5s any day over 9s unless I was really pushed for a more discreet design or cash. I'd personally never add a BeoLab 2 to the 9s. All you're going to do is degrade the sound, the performance from the 9's 'subs' is better than that of the BeoLab 2 (although the 2 goes louder

  • Re: BV7-40 mrkIII

I can't wait for this to come to the UK. The BeoSystem 3 blew me away, and I've heard the performance of the US 7-40 is better than that of the BeoVision 9...

  • Re: Isn't the Beosystem 3 hugely overpriced nowadays?

It'll become overpriced when anything produces a better picture to my eyes and costs less, and has greater flexibility.

  • Re: Upgrade Beolab 8000 setup

I'd personally go for the 9s actually, as you've mentioned how the treble changes as you move around the room. BeoLab 9s will mostly rectify this, as they have acoustic lenses which drastically change the way the speakers disperse sound into the room. All a BL2 will do is fill the room with more bass. I'll also add that with a single point of bass playing

  • Re: Problem using Beo4 with BS3200 masterlinked to BV7

To do this, press LIST and ST.BY at the same time, cycle up until you see OPTION? and press go, cycle until you see A.OPT? and press go, then press 0. The light on the BeoSound 3200 should flash to acknowledge this.
