Deep Colour would be the only reason you'd need HDMI 1.3-- but there are noe Deep Color sources ... You don't need HDMI 1.3 to take advantage of Dolby True HD You don't need HDMI 1.3 to take advantage of Dolby Digital Plus You don't need HDMI 1.3 to take advantage of DTS-HD Master Audio While you do need HDMI 1.3 to take advantage of

Peter: No - I got a CD5500 instead!! To be honest, the build quality of the MF didn't inspire me - I was much more impressed by the Naim system. The CD5500 also has the S/PDIF coax out, right?

Well, with Leopard OS you can run Windows in parallel with your Mac OS; which you can do with Parallels today, of course...

Hi Peter, I remember you went to try out a new Musical Fidelity CD player and discussed DACs with the people at the store. Did you ever end up trying one?

Interesting read, though I would say that the scaling examples look more dramatic in effect than what happens on an actual screen. And the two writers are assuming that bandwidth will be sufficient to provide full bitstream 1080p transmissions - that's not likely to happen. What we will get is bit-starved 1080p, and then we might just as well have

Clearly, there should be a LOUDNESS function on B&O phones then. Sure, the voices we listen to might not be quite as recognisable, but they would sound better!

David: This is a tough one. My BL 4000's really sounds alot bigger and richer - more true to life, with the loudness on and the bass and treble tweaked up a bit. They really aren't all that impressive with the bass and treble set to 0. Doesn't ABL and loudness adapt when when the volume is pumped up anyway?? Do you have a lot of soft fabrics
