a2bur: My sister has decided to keep the Bv3 in the UK and has acquired an Avant 32 DVD that is now going to Spain . So I have the same question about the sound modification ? The Beogram 3300 does NOT have built in RIAA so you WILL need a preamp. Pins 1 and 7 in the plug should be screwed in and can be removed with a small jewellers screwdriver. However, the majority of commercially available preamps have phono sockets so you will need to either modify the cable or obtain adapters.

Agree with Peter, I have lost count of the number of good looking cartridges with this or similar faults.

Medogsfat: I was really going by past experience as my BM5500 didn't work with my BL5000 in either mode. Looks like Graham is correct in his beolink comment. Chris. It's the doubting that really hurts!

The BL5000 is not suitable for two way use with BM5500 as far as I recall. It may work in 1 way mode like a BL1000 provided that the 5500 has Beolink enabled software.

This is ususally caused by poor signal. Can you try another aerial?

I can't really relate to, or say much to any of your posts in this particular thread because I have very little interest if any in digital media. I am sure Apple are wonderful
