This problem may be an earthing issue. Are both speakers and pre-amp connected to the same mains power source ?

In the UK the Beocentre 6-26 is shipped with FM & DAB as standard

The 4046 is for EU countries and the 4047 is for the UK. The actual controller is the same, its just the 5 volt power supply which is different

Fundementally they are the same, they have different type numbers EU = 9600, UK = 9601 etc but for the Beosystem 3 these are really power connectors etc. I understand that the US & Korea can have an ATSC module as an option. Like most modern B&O and other manufacturers products they are software driven and the country dfferences are set by software

If you have an earlier version (Mark I) then it will have a DOT on the button at the 9'oclock position and if it was a Mark II version it would have the letters INT As you appear to have a Mark I version then:- Press DOT then MENU (7) and turn the wheel for handset/base then press OK Turn dial until you see COMMON and press OK
