Hi Michael There are two ways to do what you are trying to do. The quick and easy way is to connect your DVD player to the phono sockets behind the LED display on the top right corner of your Avant. Hi BeoCenter 8000 doesn't have powerlink sockets but you can still use Active speakers. You just need the appropriate adaptor cable depending on which Active speakers you want to use. You connect to the standard two pin din speaker sockets. Opman
