Its mainly going to be done to a newly aquired BM4400 (pics to come soon!). I wouldnt do anything to my 5000 as there are already bits that have worn off so I will leave that one alone.

I want to give a couple of my Beomasters (3000 family) a bit of a clean externally and have been wondering how best to go about it. Its only to remove the dirt on the switches and face plates etc. Would some cotton buds dipped in soapy water be good or would alcohol do the job (the non drinkable type of course!) I dont want to remove the printing on

The FM reception on these is not that good using the internal aerial. Its not bad but it is definately better if you use an external aerial or a piece of wire stuck in the back. As for the missing knob, they did make different versions. I am sure someone on here will let you know the differences. I do have some spare knobs, let me run upstairs and have

Peter, I have a couple of other brochures and will try and get them scanned either over the weekend or early next week. One has nice big colour pictures of the products including the Beo610. Richard

Having looked at the brochure again, it seems that the "Master" was a BM900k but without the stereo light, although the decoder could still be fitted. It also says "Master" under the B&O logo not Beomaster. I wonder if any were made, it cant really have been that much cheaper to make than the full BM900k. I have sent Peter a
