I have the Samsung BD-P1400 which is a fine player but I know the more recent models are much improved. As far as which is best you may want to poke around the general forum as people are usually opinionated on the subject. At one time it was thought that the Sony Playstation was actually the best Bluray player around and a great gaming system to boot

It should be. I've got my Avant and BS3 controlling an ATV with fast scrolling and everything. There were issues with some older software but I believe this has all been resolved.

Absolutely Great! I love Apple but this has got to be one of the most on-target parodies of the Apple philosophy. I can't believe how much work The Onion went to creating those stunning interface graphics. If it wasn't so absurd I'd say it would look/work great on the BS5.

For a panel the best advice I can give you is to stick with one of the Panasonic Industrial panels such as the 50" TH-50PH9UK. These panels are essentially the same as what B&O uses in the BV4 (minus the special calibration they perform and of course the frame). The BS1 will essentially think it is the BV4. Congratulations that is a great unit. I sold mine recently to update to a BS3 but I always liked the BS1. Sounds like everything is up to date. You can see the available sources by pressing menu on the remote until you see an option for 'external sources. From there you can set what type of unit you want controlled through the DVD input, TV input

I don't see how you can loose with this deal. As mentioned you can always upgrade the panel rather inexpensively and the frame is worth the hassle as a work of art on the wall ( I prefer the older frame as well except for the new 65"). SD content is going to look better on the 720p BV4 than the Full HD (and certainly better than LCD with SD

Please take no offense Jan. Your question is a good one and I believe that it has been discussed before. I know we've had a few ladies active on the forum in the past and I'm sure many would be interested to know what percentage of our members are. "Female" is more of a classification than a title. Actually, and to your credit, your
Hi Females
"H-e-l-l-o Ladies" usually worked better for me.
many of the tracks that are sold at higher resolutions are actually better produced, because they are intended for the audiophile market, and the sound engineers have done a better job throughout. So what one is hearing is the quality of the work, not the resolution.
I think it makes a lot of sense Soundproof
