My guess at the price is that's it's going to cost more than the current BeoSound 1...

Imho.. it's going to replace the BS1... Stand alone product.. with no intention to be ML linked. (don't see a use of it being ML). I'm not going to use my iPod when all my music is on my network. It's just a stand alone product, nothing more nothing less.

In my very humble opinion.. Comparing B&O shares against Apple is of no relevance at all! The core audience of the 2 companies are just completely different. BeoWorlders might state otherwise... If your Avant had a surround module then you'll notice a slight difference (on movies with surround sound) due to the fact that the subwoofer signal is directly sent to the BL11. Keep in mind that in this case the dipswitches on your BL11 should be set to "EXT. BASS MANAGEMENT" (page 6 of the BL11 manual) If you only have a music system

Don't know where the sales persons get that info... If the BL11 is not suited to play with the BL3... then it's also not suited to play with the BL8000... I can assure you that the BL11 is a perfect addition to the BL8000's!!!!

I'm very excited with the BL11... A BL2 has more earthquake power... but it's wayyy overkill on my appartement. The combination with BL8000's is excelent... Adds (needed?) punch to the BL8000s without the well known subwoofer sound... Some friends thought that it was some kind of design sculpture but were surprised that it's a subwoofer
