Hi Jim, joeyboygolf is correct, you need to use the Masterlink input to the Beolink passive. Masterlink cables don't have to just run "point-to-point", they can be cut and joined using junction boxes to allow multiple connections in different rooms. Best regards, Steve.

Hi Arndt, Just a couple of points that may help - if you are connecting a computer to your BeoCenter, you will probably be using a 3.5mm stereo TRS plug at the other end of the cable. Ensure that the Sleeve (the contact furthest from the tip) goes to pin 2(the one in the centre of the "C" shape on the DIN plug. The Ring (the middle contact

Good point King of Snake, I purchased my own BeoSystem 3500 from Ian at MoreThan AV and I have been very happy with this and the service I received. I've also dealt with Iconic AV and I can recommend them very highly. Best regards, Steve.

Hi Tony, That sounds like a good solution - I always say that the best place for an RIAA pre-amp is inside the turntable casing. Best regards, Steve.

Hi Tony, A couple of metres will not be a problem for a non pre-amped turntable. However, the golden rule is always to add the pre-amp as early as possible in the chain (if using an external pre-amp). Once amplified, you can safely run a line-level signal up to 50 metres or more with confidence (even up to 100 metres with careful planning!) Best regards

Hi Guys, Thank you for a very informative discussion! I have updated my comments on the configuration of the sync cable to avoid causing any confusion to future readers of the thread. For reference, if you choose to pre-set a pair of 'Lab 5's to maximum volume and use a non-B&O analgoue source to control the volume, there should not normally
