  • Re: BL5 wordlength and sample rates

Yes it would down-sample the 24/192khz signal to 24Bit/96Khz because of the limitation in the DAC clock. It can´t handle higher samplesrates than 24bit/96khz in two channel masterings as i wrote above...;) And if you have a separate DAC and feed the BL5´s with an analog upsampled signal it would be sampled again internally with the A/D 24Bit

  • Re: BL5 wordlength and sample rates

I can only refer to the Swedish magazine HiFi&Music.. I have a number from 2004 when they did a big review on the BL5´s with detailed specs, and the source was from B&o Denmark they wrote... I have the magazine in my summerhouse so i can´t copy the exact detailed specs here, but i remember to 99-100% That the D/A converter handle´s

I think AT, 355f and moxxey Miss understand me a little bit here.. My point was if you want to be unique and own a TV that not so many people have you buy B&o or Loewe.. And if you buy a TV only by the Specs and value for money you can buy things that are mass produced like Samsung, LG, Sharp, Panasonic or Pioneer.. Everyone i have spoken "B&o"

355f: Mr10Percent: 355f: On the price adjusted RPI firgure you mention; its an interesting point and of course accurate, the products today are no more expensive in real terms BUT over the past 8 years we have had huge wholescale price deflation in the audio and video business and large advances in technology. I admire the Bs9000 and the bl8000 but

  • Re: Linn FLAC files

Yes you can connect the iMac directly to the BL5´s via the Beo digital Spdif Y-link cable.. The BL5´s can handle samplerates up to 24Bit/96Khz..( 24Bit/192Khz DVD-Audio = No sound...) Regards

  • Re: BACKLIGHT ON BV7

tom: I just checked the service menu of my BV7 (MKII), but I can't find how to adjust the backlight, so I can't tell you what the initial setting is, as I never changed it. Could you tell me in what menu-page you change that setting, I will check it for you? He mean the "Scaler contrast" setting...

Dave: j0hnbarker: I find it amusing. Not sure how a bit of irreverence can be upsetting, but each to their own. I find reading anything (and I'm not making specific references to anything/anyone on this forum, for all the sensitive souls out there) that's poorly punctuated incredibly frustrating, but you just get on with it depending on the

Ericvr6: Yesterday on discovey channel in "fifth gear" mercedes volvo audi A8 audio test the B&O set sounded very good in this test end was qualifed as the best. gr eric Volvo has committed a deal with the danish HiFi speaker company Dynaudio and the sound is highly impressive, but B&o are a bit better.. =)
