    The chairs are out..... The Cd's are loaded.... The speakers are all lined up ( and working !! ).... The beer/wine/juice are cold.... Most importantly, Mr moulton has been, had a coffee, gone again ( but promised to be back later ) ..... Just need some bums on seats now..

    Keith / Wetbob, Quite apart from knowing about the kit, it is also the case that most dealers will not supply spares "over the counter" for customers to fit themselves. There are several reasons for this, not least the fact that implicit in handing over a spare part is the suggestion that it is therefore safe for it to be fitted by the purchaser

    Flyer: Thanks Keith. Yes, the speaker itself wasn't working. I've gone past the stage where I'm comfortable working on it, so it looks like it's off to a dealer. How long is a piece of string question: would you have any idea of repair costs (clearly dependant on what's failed I know, but do you know a dealer's labour rate?)

    OK - logisitics time. We will be opening the doors at 5pm. There will be a rolling comparative demostration of the ALT products, by yours truly, featuring Beolab 3, 5 and 9, with a variety of musical styles, until around 7pm. During this time, Danish style Drinks & nibbles will be available. At 7pm, there will be a presentation/talk by Mr Dave Moulton

    soundproof: I agree with KingStreet here. It's the enormous focus on share-performance that is breaking a lot of brands, forcing them to take short-cuts. B&O isn't losing money, but neither has it lived up to its potential -- which is actually a promising thing, in spite of the pessimism at the moment. If B&O had delivered its best efforts
